Tablets for the treatment and prevention of helminthiasis in cats, puppies and small breed dogs.
Description
Tablets from light yellow to dark yellow in color, with a smooth surface interspersed, flat-cylindrical with a chamfer and a notch, with a specific odor. Marbling is allowed on the surface of the tablets.
Composition
1 tablet weighing 0.5 g contains active ingredients: pyrantel pamoate (embonate), calculated as 100% and dry matter - 0.230 g praziquantel, calculated as 100% and dry matter - 0.02 g. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose-102, croscarmellose sodium, milk sugar, potato starch, flavoring, calcium stearate, talc.
Application
Prevention and treatment of cats affected by nematodes (Toxocara mystax, Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala) and cestodes (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Hydatigera taeniaformis).
Prevention and treatment of dogs (small breeds and puppies from 4 weeks of age) affected by nematodes (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis) and cestodes (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, Taenia hydatigena, Taenia multiceps, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis).
Dosage
1 tablet per 4 kg of animal body weight.
Depending on the body weight of the animal, the following doses are allowed:
up to 1 kg 0.25 tablets
1-2 kg 0.5 tablets
2-4 kg 1 tablet
4-6 kg 1.5 tablets
Application: orally, the tablet can be hidden in the food or given directly to the animal. A fasting diet is not required.
Duration of treatment
The drug is given once. In case of intense helminth infections, apply twice with an interval of 3-4 days. It is recommended to deworm kittens and puppies against roundworms twice with an interval of 14 days. Preventive deworming of cats, puppies and small breed dogs is recommended to be carried out once a quarter, individually.
Contraindications
- sensitivity to the components of the drug
- simultaneous use with drugs containing piperazine;
- use in weakened and sick animals, animals with liver diseases
- kittens under 6 weeks of age
- puppies under the age of 4 weeks
- do not use the drug in females 1 week before birth.
Caution
The recommended doses for deworming should be followed. The drug can be used by females during lactation, provided that puppies reach 4 weeks of age and kittens reach 6 weeks of age.
