Zoetis Apoquel 5.4 mg tablets 100 pcs

Apoquel is prescribed to dogs for dermatitis associated with allergies (contact, food, parasitic) in order to eliminate itching and reduce focal skin changes, as well as to prevent relapses of atopic dermatitis.

A contraindication to the use of Apoquel is the individual intolerance of the animal to its components.

The drug should not be used in dogs with signs of immunosuppression, such as hyperadrenocorticism, as well as in dogs with progressive malignant neoplasms.

The drug should not be used by male dogs during the mating period, dogs under 12 months of age and/or weighing less than 3 kg, as well as whelping and lactating bitches.

Apoquel is administered to dogs orally, individually by hand, or mixed with food, or injected forcibly into the mouth in a single dose of 0.4 - 0.6 mg of oclacitinib per 1 kg of animal weight twice a day, for no more than 14 days.

Duration of use may be less than 14 days.

As maintenance therapy for atopic dermatitis - once a day at the same dose, but not more than 14 weeks.

The regimen and duration of the course of use of the drug depend on the etiology and pathogenesis of dermatitis, the clinical condition of the animal and are determined by the attending veterinarian.

You should make sure that the dog has completely swallowed the required dose of the drug. Feed intake does not affect the bioavailability of oclacitinib.
