Priroda Mini Cube, 9.5 L is a desktop aquarium kit from the Ukrainian brand Priroda with a panoramic view and a modern design. The 22×22×22 cm tank holds 9.5 L. The kit includes an LED-105 light, an FC-603 internal filter, cover glass and an Izolon mat to go under the tank. The light has 18 LEDs totalling 3.6 W with two modes, day and night, switched on and changed with a light touch of a sensor button, on a compact clear bracket. The filter provides mechanical, biological and chemical filtration: the sponge traps fine dirt and hosts beneficial bacteria, while the carbon cartridge removes harmful substances, dyes and odours. The filter's maximum flow is 280 L/h at 4.2 W.
Why a ready-made kit is handy
Assembling a tank piece by piece isn't easy for a beginner: you have to match the filter and light to the volume and find a cover and a mat. In a kit, all of this is already matched, so you can go straight to setting it up. More on the first steps in aquarium for beginners: what to buy.

The LED-105 light
The 18 LEDs give bright light while drawing only 3.6 W in total. Day mode is for main lighting; night mode gives a soft glow in the evening. You switch modes with a light touch of the sensor button. The clear bracket is barely visible and doesn't spoil the look. Don't leave the light on around the clock — fish need darkness, and too much light encourages algae.
The FC-603 filter
The filter attaches to the glass with suction cups and takes up little space. The sponge handles mechanical and biological filtration, and the carbon cartridge handles chemical filtration. The manufacturer notes the filter is easy to clean: the cartridge should be replaced every 4 weeks. Don't rinse the sponge under hot tap water — rinse it in tank water to keep the beneficial bacteria.
Filter and current
A flow of up to 280 L/h and a filter rated for tanks up to 55 L is plenty for 9.5 L. For fish that dislike strong currents, such as bettas, aim the outflow at the glass or to the side so calm areas remain. Watch your fish after setup: if they're being pushed around, redirect the outflow so it doesn't blast across the tank.
What you can keep
9.5 L is a small volume. It suits one betta, shrimp or a few very small fish. It's too small for goldfish and most schooling fish. Before buying fish, check how much space they need and don't overstock: waste builds up fast in a small volume.
What else to buy
Tropical fish need a small thermostatic heater and a thermometer — see the aquarium equipment section. You'll also need substrate, plants or decorations from the aquarium decor section, a water conditioner such as Rikka Quick Start, and Rikka Aqua Start bacteria.
How to set it up
Lay the mat on a flat, stable surface, place the tank, add rinsed substrate, arrange decorations and fill with conditioned water. Fit the filter and light, cover with the glass and add bacteria. Introduce fish gradually once the water has stabilised, and check it with test strips such as Tetra Test 6in1.
Who it suits
Beginners, children with adult supervision and anyone who wants a small desktop tank for a betta or shrimp with a matched light and filter. More tanks are in the aquariums and cabinets section.
Verdict
The Priroda Mini Cube is a compact 9.5 L kit: a 22×22×22 cm tank with an 18-LED LED-105 light with day/night modes, an FC-603 filter with three-stage filtration, cover glass and a mat. The downsides are that a heater must be bought separately, the filter is powerful for this volume and the flow needs managing, and the carbon cartridge needs regular replacement.
