The product is used for dogs and cats, both for the prevention and treatment of disorders of the normal function of articular cartilage and joints. It is recommended both for young growing animals and for older animals suffering from osteoarthritis.

ArthroVet Complex contains:

extracts of devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens), avocado and soybeans, glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, L-carnitine, manganese, vitamin C. Glucosamine is a precursor of glycosaminoglycans (GAG), components of the extracellular matrix of cartilage. It stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans and collagen and inhibits collagenase activity. Chondroitin is the main glycosaminoglycan present in the intercellular substance of cartilage. It reduces interleukin production, inhibits the activity of metalloproteinases in the extracellular matrix and stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and collagen. Hyaluronic acid effectively reduces pain. It is one of the components of the intercellular substance of cartilage. Extracts of devil's claw (Harpagophytum Procumbens), avocado and soybeans have analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Manganese and vitamin C support protein synthesis in articular cartilage (including collagen). Vitamin C helps neutralise the harmful effects of free radicals in the joints. L-carnitine speeds up fat burning and helps maintain optimal body weight.
