Vectra 3D is a unique drug for the main external parasites of dogs, developed by the leading manufacturer of medicines for animals Ceva (France).
Purpose of the drug:
For the treatment and prevention of infection by fleas and their larvae (Siphonaptera spp.), lice (Sipunculata spp.), lice eaters (Trichodectides spp.), mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti, Culex pipiens), mosquitoes (Phlebotominae spp.), stinging flies and midges.
For the prevention of infection by ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatos, Rhipicephalus sanguineus).
Composition:
Active ingredients: dinotefuran, permethrin, pyriproxyfen. Excipients.
Mechanism of action:
Permethrin has a powerful repellent and insectoacaricidal effect.
It is a synthetic pyrethroid, the mechanism of action of which is to damage the nervous system of insects, leading to their death.
Dinotefuron - has a contact effect, ensures that parasites are not resistant to it, and is also a neurotoxin that affects the nervous system of flying insects, causing their death.
Little toxic to animals.
Pyriproxyfen - has a contact effect, is resistant to UV rays, and also inhibits the growth, development and reproduction of fleas, lice and lice.
After applying the drug, the active substances accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands of the dog’s body, providing a persistent repellent (deterrent) and insectoacaricidal effect.
Repels insects, preventing them from biting.
The effect of the drug against fleas begins after 2 hours and within 12 hours causes the death of all fleas on the surface of the animal’s body.
In relation to ticks, it provides 100% protection within 3 weeks, 95% in the 4th week, ticks do not attach to the skin and cannot bite the animal.
Provides lasting protection against parasites for the 4th week.
Contraindications:
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Puppies under 7 weeks of age and weighing less than 1.5 kg.
Do not use on animals of other species (cats, ferrets, rodents, etc.).
Special instructions:
Pregnant and lactating dogs, as well as weakened animals - use only after consultation with a veterinarian.
The drug should not be used simultaneously with other insectoacaricidal drugs.
Method of administration and dosage:
Apply once by external application to dry, intact skin.
Holding the pipette vertically, gently squeeze its contents onto the animal’s skin in an area inaccessible to licking the drug (between the shoulder blades, at the base of the neck).
Do not bathe for 48 hours after treatment.
Repeated treatments are carried out at intervals of 1 month.
