Composition:
1 tablet – 0.7 g contains:
Fenbendazole 150 mg, Pyrantel embonas 144 mg, Praziquantel 50 mg.
1 tablet – 0.175 g contains:
Fenbendazole 37.5 mg, Pyrantel embonas 36 mg, Praziquantel 12.5 mg.
Pharmacological action:
Kaniverm has a wide spectrum of antiparasitic action on all stages of development of roundworms and tapeworms, including: Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Trichuris vulpis, Echinococcus granulosus, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Multiceps multiceps, Mesocestoides spp., Echinococcus multilocularis. The mechanism of action of the drug is based on inhibition of enzymes, damage to the membrane and muscle tissue of the parasite, which leads to disruption of neuromuscular innervation, paralysis and death of the helminth. Kaniverm has low toxicity for warm-blooded animals.
Indications:
Kaniverm is intended for the therapeutic treatment and prevention of dogs and cats with nematodes (toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariasis, hookworm, trichocephalosis) and cestodiasis (taeniasis, echinococosis, dipylidia).
Method of administration and dosage:
Tablets are administered orally whole, crushed or hidden in food, once. Do not serve with dairy foods.
Puppies, small breeds of dogs and cats:
- 1 tablet of 0.175 g per 0.5 - 2 kg of live weight
- 1 tablet of 0.7 g or 2 tablets of 0.175 g per 2 - 5 kg of live weight.
Dogs of medium breeds:
- 1 tablet of 0.7 g or 4 tablets of 0.175 g per 5-10 kg of live weight.
Large dogs:
- 1 tablet for every starting 10 kg of live weight.
Deworming of puppies and kittens is recommended once from 3 to 12 weeks of age with an interval of 3 weeks, subsequently every 3 months.
Undesirable effects:
For several hours after use, mushy stools, rash, and, in some cases, fever may occur. We are talking about a reaction to waste proteins from dying worms, this is not a reaction to a remedy. The drug may cause drowsiness.
Contraindications:
Ocular cysticercosis and spinal neurocysticercosis. Liver diseases.
Compatibility:
Do not use simultaneously with piperazine and other antiparasitic drugs.
Storage conditions:
In a dry, dark place, in undamaged, well-closed original packaging, at temperatures up to 25 ° C.
