How to choose a brush for your cat
A short-haired cat is easy to groom with a rubber brush or glove — most cats take it as petting. Long-haired breeds need a slicker brush and a fine-toothed comb: regular brushing prevents mats and reduces the hair a cat swallows while washing. In shedding season a deshedding tool helps, and a dematting comb gently works out existing mats.
