AnimAll VetLine Anti-parasitic Collar for Dogs, Coral, 70 cm
Composition
One collar contains the active ingredients:
Pharmacological properties
ATCvet QP53, ectoparasiticides, insecticides and repellents (QP53AC55, flumethrin, combinations).
The pharmaceutical action of the collar is due to the properties of the active ingredients: imidacloprid and flumethrin.
Imidacloprid, an ectoparasiticide, belongs to the group of chloronicotinyl compounds. It has a high affinity for nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the postsynaptic regions of the flea nervous system. Interruption of nerve impulse transmission leads to paralysis and death of wingless insects: larvae and adult fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ct. Felis, Pulex irritans), lice (Linognathus setosus), and chewing lice (Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus). Imidacloprid has a low level of penetration through the blood-brain barrier, so it practically does not affect the mammalian CNS.
Flumethrin is an ectoparasiticide of the synthetic pyrethroid group with high acaricidal activity. Synthetic pyrethroids interact with sodium channels of nerve cell membranes, resulting in depolarization of nerve endings, which leads to the death of the parasite. Flumethrin does not exhibit anticholinesterase activity.
The collar's polymer band provides a constant and slow release of the active ingredients at a stable concentration from the collar onto the animal's coat. Thus, the acaricidal and insecticidal concentration of the active ingredients on the animal's coat remains stable throughout the collar's effective period.
The collar is well tolerated by animals and has no local irritant effect.
Application
Prevention and treatment of dogs and cats affected by: fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, C t. Canis, Pulex irritans), lice (Linognathus setosus), chewing lice (Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus), and parasitiform ticks (Ixodes spp., Hyalomma spp., Dermacentor spp., Haemaphysalis spp., Rhipicephalus spp., Boophilus calcaratus).
Can be used as one of the remedies in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis.
Length: 70 cm.
Color: coral.
Dosage
For external use only. One collar is intended for one animal only.
Open the collar package, unroll it, and fasten it loosely around the neck of the dog or cat so that there is a small gap between the neck and the collar (about 2 fingers wide), then close the buckle. The collar should fit loosely on the neck and not restrict the animal's growth. The length of the collar is adjusted depending on the size of the animal.
Continuous use of the collar protects the animal from ectoparasites for 7 months.
If the collar's effectiveness decreases, it should be replaced with a new one. It is advisable to remove the collar before bathing the animal, as significant wetting of the animal's coat and skin (rain, bathing, swimming) reduces the collar's effectiveness.
For medium and large dog breeds - a collar 70 cm long, for small dog breeds and cats - 35 cm.
Contraindications

After handling the collar, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap.
In animals with hypersensitivity to imidacloprid or flumethrin, skin irritation may occasionally occur when using the collar. In such cases, use of the collar should be discontinued.
