How to choose a flea and tick collar
A collar protects for a long time — from several weeks up to 8 months (Foresto) — so it's convenient for the whole tick season. Choose by species and length: 35 cm for cats and small dogs, 65–70 cm for medium and large dogs. Never put a dog collar on a cat.
The active ingredient spreads over the coat during the first 1–2 days, so put the collar on in advance of a walk in the woods. Collars can be combined with tick tablets on a vet's advice; for pregnant, sick or very young animals — only after consulting a vet.
