VetSintez PerFect Antigelm TRIO suspension 15 ml is a combination dewormer for dogs and cats from the Ukrainian manufacturer VetSintez. Each ml contains three active ingredients: fenbendazole 20 mg, pyrantel pamoate 15 mg and praziquantel 5 mg. Together they act against roundworms, tapeworms, flukes and Giardia. The suspension is given as a single dose of 1 ml per 1 kg of body weight, and a dosing syringe is included.
How the three ingredients work
Fenbendazole disrupts the parasites' microtubules and nutrient transport, so the worms die of starvation. It acts on nematodes, cestodes and trematodes of the gut and airways and also kills worm eggs, reducing the risk of reinfection. Pyrantel pamoate causes spastic paralysis of roundworms; it's barely absorbed from the gut, so it keeps working there longer. Together, fenbendazole and pyrantel reinforce each other against nematodes — Toxocara, Toxascaris, hookworms, Uncinaria, whipworms — and act against Giardia. Praziquantel destroys the outer layer of tapeworms: Taenia, Dipylidium, Echinococcus, Mesocestoides and the broad fish tapeworm.

Pros
- Three ingredients, broad spectrum. Roundworms, tapeworms, flukes and Giardia.
- Works on eggs. Fenbendazole lowers the risk of reinfection.
- Accurate weight-based dosing. 1 ml per 1 kg — handy for puppies and kittens.
- From 3 weeks. Suitable for a youngster's first deworming.
- No fasting or laxatives. Given in the morning with a little food.

- An opened bottle lasts 30 days. And only if kept dark at 5–10 °C.
- Contraindications apply. Not for sick or emaciated animals or those with liver or kidney disease.
- Possible reactions. With heavy infestation, diarrhoea, vomiting or itching may occur and pass on their own.
How to give it
Shake the suspension well. Give it once in the morning at 1 ml per 1 kg of body weight, mixed with a little food or placed on the back of the tongue with the dosing syringe. No fasting or laxatives are needed. For treatment, it's given once and repeated after 10–14 days if necessary. For prevention — every three months, before mating and 12–14 days before each vaccination. More on scheduling in worms in cats and dogs: prevention and puppy and kitten vaccinations.
Contraindications and precautions
Don't use it in animals sensitive to the ingredients, in puppies and kittens under 3 weeks, in females during the first half of pregnancy or for two weeks after giving birth, in animals with infectious disease, emaciated or weakened animals, or those with impaired kidney or liver function. Don't combine it with piperazine or cholinesterase inhibitors. Deworming 3 weeks before and 2–3 weeks after birth is done only under veterinary supervision. Store the bottle at 5–25 °C in the dark; once opened, use within 30 days, kept in the dark at 5–10 °C.
Working out how many bottles
One 15 ml bottle is one dose for a dog up to 15 kg or, for example, three doses for a 4–5 kg cat (bearing in mind the 30-day limit after opening). A 1 kg kitten needs just 1 ml. For dogs over 15 kg, plan on several bottles or choose tablets — for example, Cestal Plus; for puppies there's the Procox suspension.
Who it suits
Puppies and kittens from 3 weeks, and cats and small to medium dogs — for treatment and routine deworming, especially pets that are hard to pill. More products are in the antiparasitic products section.
Verdict
Antigelm TRIO is a convenient suspension with three dewormers: fenbendazole, pyrantel and praziquantel cover roundworms, tapeworms, flukes and Giardia. Dosing is simple — 1 ml per 1 kg — and it can be used from 3 weeks without fasting. Large dogs get through a lot, and an opened bottle must be used within 30 days.
