The FURminator Adjustable Tangle Cutter removes tangles easily and safely. The mat cutter is effective for most types of hair, both short and long, in different types of animals. Regardless of wool type, always use a tangle cutter on dry wool. Use the FURminator® Adjustable Tangle Cutter according to the directions for use. Mats can cause a lot of discomfort for your pet, and if left unchecked, become increasingly difficult to remove. The mat cutter helps manage tangled fur and remove mats completely.

Step 1
Before you begin removing mats, adjust the blade to the desired position based on your pet's fur length by pressing the FURextender button and then locking it with the sliding tab.

Step 2
Run the mat cutter through the matted fur, pushing it forward with fast and firm movements. Continue until you get rid of the tangle. Small mats will fall out on their own or become small enough to be removed with a regular comb.
