The filter sponge is used as filter media for external canister filters and internal box filters, as well as for use together with a powerhead (pump). Designed for a long service life of more than 1 year, it requires periodic cleaning (as it becomes dirty) without the use of detergents or cleaning agents. Easy to clean: simply rinse and squeeze under running water. Water filtration is carried out through the biological breakdown of harmful chemical elements by anaerobic bacteria that colonize the porous surface of the sponge. In addition to biological filtration, mechanical filtration also takes place.
