How often to deworm a dog
Adult dogs are usually dewormed every 3 months, puppies more often on a vet's schedule, as well as 10–14 days before vaccination and before mating. The dose depends on weight: one tablet usually covers 10 kg — split it for small dogs, and a suspension is easier for puppies.
Broad-spectrum products (Drontal Plus, Caniverm, Cestal Plus, Milprazon) act on roundworms and tapeworms. Read the leaflet before use; for pregnant, nursing or sick dogs — only as prescribed by a vet.
