Pharmacological properties
ATCvet QP53, ectoparasiticides, insecticides and repellents (QP53AC55, flumethrin, combinations).
The pharmaceutical action of the collar is due to the properties of its active ingredients: imidacloprid and flumethrin.
Imidacloprid, an ectoparasiticide, belongs to the chloronicotinyl compound group. It has a high affinity for nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at the postsynaptic sites of the flea nervous system. Interruption of nerve impulse transmission leads to paralysis and death of wingless insects: larvae and adult fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ct. Felis, Pulex irritans), lice (Linognathus setosus), and biting lice (Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus). Imidacloprid has a low level of penetration through the blood-brain barrier, so it has virtually no effect on the CNS of mammals.
Flumethrin is an ectoparasiticide from the synthetic pyrethroid group with high acaricidal activity. Synthetic pyrethroids interact with the sodium channels of nerve cell membranes, causing depolarization of nerve endings, which leads to the death of the parasite. Flumethrin does not exhibit anticholinesterase activity.
The polymer band of the collar provides a continuous and slow release of the active ingredients at a stable concentration from the collar onto the animal's coat. Thus, the acaricidal and insecticidal concentration of the active ingredients on the animal's coat remains stable throughout the effective period of the collar.
The collar is well tolerated by animals and has no local irritant effect.
Use
Prevention and treatment of dogs and cats affected by: fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, Ct. Canis, Pulex irritans), lice (Linognathus setosus), biting lice (Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus), and parasitiform ticks (Ixodes spp., Hyalomma spp., Dermacentor spp., Haemaphysalis spp., Rhipicephalus spp., Boophilus calcaratus).
Can be used as one of the treatments for allergic flea dermatitis.

Dosage
For external use. One collar is intended for a single animal only.
Open the collar package, unroll it, and fasten it loosely around the neck of the dog or cat so that a small gap (about 2 fingers wide) remains between the neck and the collar, then secure it with the buckle. The collar should fit loosely on the neck and not restrict the animal's growth. The length of the collar is adjusted depending on the size of the animal.
Continuous use of the collar provides protection against ectoparasites for 7 months.
If the collar's effectiveness decreases, it should be replaced with a new one. It is advisable to remove the collar before bathing animals, as significant wetting of the coat and skin (rain, bathing, swimming) reduces the collar's effectiveness.
For medium and large dog breeds - a 70 cm collar, for small dog breeds and cats - 35 cm.
Contraindications
- Do not use on sick or weakened animals!
- Do not use on animals with known hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the product!
- Do not use on puppies under 7 weeks or kittens under 10 weeks!
- Do not use on females during pregnancy and lactation!
Precautions
Open the collar package immediately before use.
If the animal's owner has increased individual sensitivity to the active substances, or has scratches or skin damage on their hands, rubber gloves should be worn.
After handling the collar, thoroughly wash hands with warm water and soap.
In some cases, animals hypersensitive to imidacloprid or flumethrin may develop skin irritation when using the collar. In such cases, use of the collar should be discontinued.
Presentation
The collar is hermetically packed in a polymer film and placed in a cardboard box. For medium and large dog breeds - a 70 cm collar, for small dog breeds and cats - 35 cm.
Storage
Store the collar in a closed package in a dry place inaccessible to children and animals, separate from food products and animal feed, at a temperature from 0 to 25°C.
Shelf life in a closed package - 5 years, after opening the package - 6 months.
