How to choose dog boots
Boots protect paw pads from salt and de-icers in winter, hot asphalt in summer and glass or stones on walks; after an injury they keep a bandage clean. Size by the width of the front paw: stand it on paper and trace around it while the dog is standing.
The sole should be non-slip and the fastening should hold the boot snugly. Get your dog used to boots gradually — a few minutes at home at first, with praise and treats.
