How to choose flea drops for a cat
Use only drops labelled “for cats” and pick the pipette by weight (e.g. up to 4 kg or 4–8 kg). Dog products with permethrin are poisonous to cats. Apply to the skin at the base of the skull where the cat can't lick it.
Some drops act only against fleas and ticks, others also against worms and ear mites (Advocate, Stronghold Plus; Profender — against worms). For kittens, pregnant or nursing cats and cats with health problems — only as prescribed by a vet.
